Clean make up brands that we tested and approved
Just like fashion and food, the two main reasons that made us switch to clean make up brands were our health and the environment. We both became more sensitive to the products we used on our skin. Personally I started developing rashes on my face when I used certain conventional beauty products but since I had been prone to eczema for a long time, I didn't think much of it. When it comes to health issues caused by chemicals and especially heavy metals present in make up, people don't always react straight away and the root cause can be unknown for a long time.
Women put on average 168 toxic substances on their skin each day ! It only takes a few seconds for these substances to penetrate the skin and enter the bloodstream. It’s urgent that we change our beauty routines to avoid many chronic health issues that are arising due to heavy metal contamination. Some ingredients present in conventional make up are being listed as common hormone disruptors and we are seeing so much thyroid issues in young women. Today we have the choice when it comes to safe options regarding make up. They are not more expensive that conventional ones and offer the same level of quality. Here are our favourite clean make up brands.

Thanks for the information, I have tried Ere Perez and I love all their products. I also like ZAO makeup, which you didn’t mention in the article. They have 100% natural products which are also bio and vegan and they are strongly pigmented so they last for ages.
To avoid plastic waste I try to shop everything, from shampoo to foundation in my favorite beauty shop, BLOOM. They do almost everything in refill and if they don’t have it refillable, at least they are zero waste.
